I grew up in Cleveland and quickly learned to appreciate its rich culture, diversity, and especially the unique energy that is reflected in the people who call it home. I have watched Cleveland and its surrounding areas grow and change over the years and although I attended college in Colorado, I came back to Cleveland to live, pursue my career in real estate, and raise a family.
Cleveland presents an opportunity to potential home owners unlike anywhere else. We have world class museums, orchestra, medical institutions, universities, three professional sports teams and are located on Lake Erie, the forth largest of one of this nation's most coveted natural resources: the Great Lakes. When you take all of this into consideration, coupled with the fact that the cost of living here is so affordable, the decision to become a Cleveland home owner starts to seem like an easy one.
When I came back to Cleveland from Colorado in 2002, I rented for a while before realizing the opportunities of being a landlord instead of a renter. I started to accrue investment property and quickly began to realize a significant passive income. Opportunities in the investment real estate arena are everywhere in Cleveland and I am always happy to share my strategies for success with clients.
I moved to Ohio City in 2007 and got a chance to enjoy one of Cleveland's best kept secrets, its historical neighborhoods. Beautiful architecture from the turn of the century has been brought back to life through renovation of homes and buildings everywhere and the results are truly remarkable. Communities like Ohio City and Tremont are highly coveted and enjoyed by their residents and visitors to these communities. I have a great track record of introducing my clients to their new house or town home in these neighborhoods.
My wife was awarded a dermatology residency at the Cleveland Clinic in 2008 and we decided to move back to Cleveland Heights, the neighborhood we both grew up in and where we met in elementary school! We purchased a single family home that we continue to live in and enjoy immensely. Suburbs such as Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights, Lakewood and Rocky River are wonderful places to live and to raise a family in.
Over the past few years, I have been lucky enough to witness many of the new condo/high-rise projects being built and the subsequent revitalization of the downtown area. This has had a ripple effect on surrounding areas and with projects in the works such as the Medical Mart and Casinos, the continued renaissance of the city seems assured.
In 2009, I partnered with two prominent North East Ohio agents, and in January 2010 we opened a Keller Williams Real Estate office in downtown's Cleveland. Our office is now home to close to 20 agents who service a very healthy piece of market share in both the city and surrounding areas. Together with our Market Center in Pepper Pike, we can safely say that we are one of the leading brokerages helping people buy and sell real estate in this area everyday.
